Black Horse Excellence was born in 2019 when CA Vishal Mulchandani and Hiren Raval asked a simple but powerful question:
Why should finance professionals waste hours on manual Excel reporting when automation could do it better?
Both coming from strong finance backgrounds, they had seen firsthand the errors, inefficiencies, and wasted hours that firms faced. Determined to change this, they began building smarter Excel-based tools that transformed reporting from a repetitive burden into a seamless process.

CA Vishal Mulchandani
Director
Vishal Mulchandani is Chartered Accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has started his career in Tata Consultancy Services Limited(TCS). He has worked in TCS for 3 years in corporate finance team in Mumbai. During his tenure in TCS, he has been looking after the Financial Reporting of Subsidiaries in compliance with Ind AS, Local GAAP of that country (for eg. For US Subsidiary, Financial reporting as per US GAAP), IFRS. His one of special initiative includes, implementation of Ind AS 116 (Ind AS for ROU and Lease Liability) at TCS Group level.
Having a thrust for doing a business from his childhood, he has decided to start his entrepreneurial journey at the age of just 25. It was year 2019, he founded “Black Horse Excellence” along with his friend “Hiren Raval” with an objective to design and develop the Automation Tool for Financial Reporting for CA fraternity.
Over a period, he has specialized in Financial Reporting, Accounting Standards, Ind AS implementation, which is one of the specialised areas for a Chartered Accountant. What makes him stand out is he has developed his skills for advanced Excel, VBA coding, understanding users’ requirements, creating innovative Tech solutions, developing & designing dynamic Algorithms, logics and implementing it into real-world Automation tools.
He has been taking technical sessions at various branches of ICAI across India. Vishal has been a scholar throughout his academics. He has received a Gold Medal for the highest marks in the SFM Subject of CA Final exam. Vishal’s recent initiative includes Financial Reporting Workshop, a 15 hours Online Workshop specifically designed for CA Articles, Graduate candidates, CA Fresher and MBA to learn all about Financial Reporting.
Hiren Raval is marketing master, co-founder of “Black Horse Excellence”. He had worked in renowned pharmaceutical companies for 5 years before starting entrepreneur journey. He has received many awards and Gold medal during his tenure at pharma company.
He has been excellent throughout his academics. Having his core interest in human relations, he has specialised in marketing over a period of time. He has exceptional while dealing with clients.
He has been taking seminars and giving presentations at various branches of ICAI.
